COLLABORATIONS

The UK groups working on laser- and plasma-wakefield accelerators participate in the following collaborations:

EuPRAXIA
​

EuPRAXIA is a proposal for a new European particle accelerator research infrastructure based on novel plasma concepts and laser technology. The concept was established over four years in a unique collaboration of 41 laboratories within a Horizon 2020 design study funded by the European Union.

AWAKE
​

The Advanced Wakefield (AWAKE) Experiment is an international project being carried out at CERN. AWAKE aims to demonstrate the acceleration of electrons in a plasma wakefield driven by a proton beam.
